2 Thess 3:1-2 "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men".
Paul shared two prayer requests to his readers at the end of his second letter to the Thessalonians. His first prayer request is for those who are sent. His second prayer request is that God be glorified. This is a great outline "To Pray For Us"!.
- Pray for the sent ones (missionaries) so they can effectively share the Good News.
- Pray for the spreading of the word of the Lord that it would run swiftly and may have a free course.
- Pray for the word of the Lord to impact many and no obstacle can stop the spreading of His precious word.
- Pray for the safety of those who are sent, especially for those who are laboring in the Arab world.
- Pray that God be glorified. When people get saved because of the spreading of His living word through His sent ones, it is God who deserves all the glory not the sent ones!
It is God's powerful and living Word that saves!
